Thanks Mile for your generous offer of support for the Chapter News Site.
The hosting will be handled by ISOC and Franck Martin has offered to take care of the CMS's installation, working with Peter Godwin. Then it's up to us chapters to manage the site. This will involve, as I see it at least:
*
setting up of an account for each chapter;
*
managing the publication process (content and linguistic validation of posts);
*
providing support for users;
*
and of course, for chapters to actually post items!
Regards,

Subject: Re: [Chapter-delegates] Chapter News Site
Hello Luc and all Chapter Delegates,
I really think that this is good idea.
1. So, the idea is solved.
2. Everything else regarding administrative work and managing content is also solved.
To make it more clear:
I already have enormous server capacity, so that this site can be hosted on my servers (free of charge and unlimited).
I also have access to domain name registration, so we only need to agree about domain name and that is solved (free of charge and unlimited).
I can create and activate Content Management System where all chapter leaders would have administrator access and change content by uploading news, important information, reports from events or start discussions (real time chat and of course - forum). They would edit complete content of the site which is related to their chapters. I would take care that everything is functioning in order.
It is also good to know that I would also include support system where I (or one of my assistants) would help to those delegates with problems regarding using the site or uploading new content and similar, or even do that for them.
Everything I have suggested above is not only to support this "verbally' but instead to offer concrete solutions. All of this I can realize within ONLY ONE WEEK !
If you consider this as acceptable, give me, as soon as possible, approval, suggestions and inspiration to finish all of this.

Thanks to the people from the 6 chapters who have supported the idea of the Chapter News Site:
- ISOC Puerto Rico
- ISOC Bulgaria
- ISOC Serbia
- ISOC Belgium - Wallonia
- ISOC Tunisia
- ISOC France
We are currently putting together the team of chapter people who will manage the site. We need people to do administrative work and to manage content.
At this stage, you can provide support for the project in two non-exclusive forms :
1. support the idea (just say so on this list),
2. provide contacts who can help with the site's administration.
Thanks in advance,
- Luc Faubert
