[Chapter-delegates] Chapter News Site

Thanks for your support Patrick.

Chapter RSS feeds would certainly be the most efficient way to gather chapter news. However, the major issue with them is that with regards to the Chapter News Site they may contain too much noise (irrelevant local news, positions on policy, etc.) and not be written with a broad readership in mind.

Chapter News Site posts, as stated in the proposed Posting Rules, should be (unless we agree otherwise) about events and projects organized locally, so it will probably be better for posts to be generated manually in order fo chapters, rather than a central authority, to filter out irrelevant content.

Other ways to generate content for the site may work better--I'm open to suggestions.

Amitiés réciproques,

Luc Faubert said the following on 12/11/2006 07:04:

We are currently putting together the team of chapter people who will manage the site. We need people to do administrative work and to manage content.

At this stage, you can provide support for the project in two non-exclusive forms :
		  1. support the idea (just say so on this list),

	Luc,

Obviously, ISOC Luxembourg supports the idea :-D

		  2. provide contacts who can help with the site's administration

I will be your primary contact for this. The easiest would be for you to integrate our RSS feed at http://www.isoc.lu/feed

	Amitiés,

	Patrick
