            Dear all,

Registration for EGENI 2006 is now open.

The French Chapter of the Internet Society (ISOC France) with the support of
the Paris Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCIP) and the Medef (French
Business Confederation) invite you to join them at this 5th Annual event,
June 22 2006, at the “Maison des Arts et Métiers”, Paris on the theme:
Internet is for everyone.

Three Plenary round tables between societal and technical implications:

*         Internet and Europe:
the European Parliament groups vision

o Six months after the Tunis Summit, during which Europe expressed
very strong views, members of each group of the European Parliament will
come to share their vision on the future of the Internet and Europe.

* Can Internet Governance dissolve itself within the stakeholders?
What possible role today for the various constituencies in Internet
governance?

o The WSIS confirmed the place of civil society and private sector at
the sides of governments and international organizations.

o This round table gathers a representative of each group concerned
by Internet governance:

*         providers

*         regulators

*         public policy bodies

*         business and individual users

*         Web 2.0

After the IP revolution: the Web 2.0 revolution?

Web 2.0 is seen as the ultimate innovation: new usages, new ways of working,
new ideas, new business models, new technologies, new behaviours, new ways
of interacting with information and still new ways of governance

Web 2.0 the new cyberparadigm?

Once again in 2006, the workshops are an opportunity to study and discuss
various issues... Six workshops will be held during both morning and
afternoon sessions, gathering the best experts on the topic.

Each year, numerous leaders, both French and European, come to share ideas,
opinions and experiences.

A lunch and cocktail are provided to all participants, giving an opportunity
to share and discuss issues covered during the Conference.

            More details on the program and registration are available on
our website: HYPERLINK "http://www.egeni.org/"http://www.egeni.org (English
version coming soon).

            Looking forward to welcoming you in Paris,

Yours Sincerely

Sébastien Bachollet, Organisation Committee 2006 President
