thank you for your letters and interest to our organization. It was our 
great desre to become an ISOC chapter for a long time. We even initiated
to 
process of sudy the requirements for a Chapter charter and to bring out 
charter in accordance. Formerly we were Armenian Internet Users Group
and in 
a year 2000 we were re-registered as ISOC AM aiming to become a chapter.

Unfortunately for some reasons the process was not finished. Your
letters encouraged us to finalize our intention and become a chapter 
with your valueable help.
Our organization is a local Internet community serving the Internet 
development in Armenia. We are also members of CEENet and CENTR. I
myself 
participated in INET 93 and 95 conferences. 25 members of our
orgnization 
were members of ISOC. We must simply renew our membership.
I'll fill the application and inform you about further developments.

It appears from this end that there has not been an application
submitted as per the ISOC guidelines. However, it sounds as if this
organization would be a very good candidate for chapter status and we
would, of course, welcome that.
