Hi David
Unfornatly, we are not able to join the MMM's ...
Because at the same time we have a national meeting focusing on the senegal
input in the IGF ...
I'm very disapointed because i have a lot of inputs on this issue ...
May be you can act for me to give my full agreement on this topic, and my
involvment to make this happens !!!
Because it seems to me very important to help the african chapters to be
more involved in the positions of ISOC , helping them to advocate the issues
of the majors pillars of our organisation near the policies makers by given
them a credibility sustained by this africa bureau.
ISOC have also a good opportunity to have a better knowledge of the specific
issues of the continent, beying in fact part of the african fora.
As per example, in march of this year the African Civil Society Organisation
(ACSIS) plan to have a big meeting in Addis Ababa and the representative of
Africa Bureau can act part of african civil society to make significants
inputs in this meeting.
The africa bureau is very important, in my point of view, to dissiminate and
change the perception of ISOC, not like an North Organisation , but to a
Global Organisation taking in account all the issues and challenges we have
to face in Africa.
I'll try if we get connectivity in the room of the meeting to join you
using my Jabber account "corenthin at message.info"
Best regards and have a nice meeting
Alex
PS : sorry i'm out of the university and i use my gmail account to send you
this mail ... Spam policies applied !!!
