Dear colleagues,
This is an important message.

We have received and are responding to a formal complaint [the
procedure for that is described at
http://www.isoc.org/isoc/general/trustees/select.shtml ] from one of
the chapter candidates indicating that Franck Martin has sent a note
to each chapter's representative (a) presenting himself as an
advocate for the specific chapter and (b) encouraging the chapter to
read the available information and to vote.

The Elections Committee encourages the chapters to vote. The final
date for voting is 29th of April. See all details at
http://www.isoc.org/members/vote/2006election/index.shtml
The EC will publish on Monday a new round of questions at
http://www.isoc.org/tools/blogs/elections06/. This will give you all
the possibility to review the answers of the candidates before you
decide to vote. As you know, this year the last vote sent by the
chapters, will be the valid one for the elections.
However, we must note that the partisan remark in the email and the
fact of it being sent outside the process constitutes a process fault.

Thank you!

Veni Markovski,
chairman of the 2006 Elections Committee
Internet Society (www.isoc.org)
