FYI,
A handbook that offers advice to bloggers who want to protect themselves
from recrimination and censors has been released by Reporters Without
Borders. The media watchdog said it gives people who want to set up a
blog tips on how to do so, how to publicise it, as well as how to
establish credibility. It also offers advice about writing blogs from
countries with tough media restrictions, such as Iran, China and
Tunisia. Among the topics are how to set up a blog anonymously, how to
post anonymously and the ethics of online information publishing.
The Handbook for Bloggers and Cyber-Dissidents
<http://www.rsf.org/article.php3?id_article=15083> is available in
French, English,Chinese, Arabic and Persian and can be downloaded from
the RSF web site.
There is one question RSF has left unanswered, though. They admit their
web site is often blocked by some dictatorial governments. So, how will
people be able to download it ?
Best,
Patrick Vande Walle
