Dear Ramon,

As you see - new email address (below).

Thank you for taking the time to let me know about this sad news. Millard
clearly represented what is good about so many of our fellow Internauts - a
true commitment to the society of the Internet and the people who benefit
from it. I wish I had known him personally. It is especially poignant that
we both have a strong connection with Stanford where I, too, taught and
studied.

I hope his passing can be noted in the ISOC-NY website.

Vint

Vint,
I do not know if you still receive email from the chapter list which was
changed recently. I share the news from Trina Semorile, ISOC New York, who
posted the passing of Millard Clements, a great contributor to the ISOC
community.
Thanks,
Ramón

Trina,
It it with deep sadness, that we receive this news of the passing of a true
internet hero and pioneer. I first met Millard in the early 90's when he
offered to send NYU interns to support a community technology learning
center in the East Harlem-Harlem area of New York. More recently , I met him
again at the New York Chapter meeting last April where I had the opportunity
to reconnect with him.
Millard's deep commitment to young people and his overwhelming love of all
efforts that would bring people together using the internet and technology
is a veritable beacon for us all.

On behalf of ISOCPR, I express my deepest condolences to his family, friends
and the NY Chapter. His contribution will be missed. We vow to follow in his
passionate pursuit of a global network that connects youth in meaningful
and rich exchanges.

Unconditionally yours,
Ramon Morales

Internet Society of Puerto Rico

PS I will ask Herson Cabreras, ISOCPR 's representative in NY to attend on
our behalf.
