You are right. The decision not to support your petition was made by the 
board of ISOC Finland on the grounds that we (the board members) were 
unanimous about the need for geographical diversity among the _chapter_ 
representatives in the BoT.

The election, however, is a whole different ball game. Our vote will not 
be decided by the board, but by the members of ISOC Finland.

I feel it is my responsibility as the chapter president to point out 
this distinction. Other than that, I have no wish to pursue this line of 
discussion any further, unless it is to find a solution to the above 
mentioned problem.
