A part of doing that which I think is an excellent idea, I volunteer to use
our interviewing methodology, to create a posthumous executive summary of
his contributions and life in a short document. Working close together with
the Nigerian chapter people and friends who can provide us with the
information. So we can remember him in our perpetual digital archive of
pioneers.
As Fred Baker stated I don't know your local traditions, but I would suggest
to stay 1 minute in silence during our next MMM meeting (Tuesday May the
3rd) on his remembrance.
Please Effiong, feel free to contact me or Thais (copied) whenever is
convenient for you.

Chapter on Veni Markovski's petition
Lynn,
Would it be possible for ISOC to include a statement from you and a brief
biography of Professsor Nwodo's life and contributions to be featured on
ISOC's home page? I believe that this would be most appropriate to inform
the global Internet Community as a whole.
Thanks,

Chapter on Veni Markovski's petition
Dear Effiong,
This is indeed a loss for Nigeria, for the Internet and for ISOC (not only
in Nigeria but worldwide). Our sympathies are with you and with Prof.
Nwodo's family and friends.
I had the privilege to meet Prof. Nwodo in Nigeria some years ago and I have
been seriously in awe of what the ISOC Nigerian chapter has
been able to accomplish over the years. The Nigerian chapter and
it's members truly represent what is great about the Internet community.
With warm regards and sincere best wishes. Our thoughts are with all of
you.
