You mean it would have been "no better than a DOS attack" too? Or I 
guess you mean that since it would have only been one email, that would 
have been OK.

But if 100 chapters emailed you with concern would that be "no better 
than a DOS attack"?

Let me take a moment of your time as the president of PICISOC to tell 
you that ISOC has just created an enormous digital divide. You have 
just separated "your world" from the developing one. And most every 
member of my chapter is upset about it. And from what I've seen both on 
and behind this list, so are many others.

And what effect is that going to have on the reality of the situation 
(no matter how long or hard we discuss it)?

I predict....none.
