[chapter-delegates] IETF Meeting next week

Dear Chapter delegates:

 

I expect that some of you may be attending the IETF Meeting next week in
Minneapolis in the US. I plan to be there. I will be available mornings
(Monday through Thursday) in the 'Director's Row II' room. I realize there
are many issues currently under debate and would be happy to meet with any
of you there. I plan to be in that room most mornings but will have to be
away at some times for phone calls and the like. Please leave me a note with
your phone number if I am absent when you stop by. 

 

We can of course discuss the issues currently under debate, we can talk of
ideas for enhanced communications. It is also important to talk of the
important initiatives underway, with chapter help, in important areas such
as WSIS/WGIG. Our recent intervention at the WSIS Prepcom 2 (which has been
sent to you) is an important effort which was very much helped by many
individuals including chapters members. (The intervention is also available

. My hope is that you will consider such subjects as these, forward them to
your members, to your local press, perhaps hold events concerning WSIS/WGIG
and other important initiatives.
