We would certainly tell our Pacific Chapter members to head for the
blog site to get involved if somebody put one up. If I had a way to
host one here on Niue I would do it in a minute but with our small
amount of bandwidth I just can't.

As for a joint statement, I think our former MEMBERS who are now
ASSOCIATE MEMBERS have made it clear that the Pacific Chapter is
opposed to the PAY membership-and the notion that there is now a divide
between two kinds of members. So I am certain that our chapter would
support the idea of a joint statement of some kind.

We hear terms like "digital divide" almost every single day since most
of us live in 3rd would countries. And now our chapter sees ISOC as
having created a giant one.

Lots of noise about this both on and behind the Pacific Chapter list
tonight.
