As Richard is pointing out, the membership fee will see the start of a
schism in ISOC.
As in Open Source may be we should fork? ISOCFE: The Internet Society
For Everyone.
Also we are encouraging any Board Member, any executive or any staff of
ISOC to come and see the real Internet world first hand. We will have
our annual meeting in August in Kiribati, a very interesting place,
please come, people have no money but they are devoted and friendly.
Finally for those who have no understood, ISOC is NOT the IEEE! Even the
IETF is NOT the IEEE. ISOC made a strong point on Internet governance as
WSIS, that the Internet model is different to what has ever existed, so
for ISOC, this is not a professional organisation as we have seen in the
past.
When is the next board meeting, so we can be in the room (physically or
virtually), and voice our opinion?
Cheers
