Dear Gene,
That will be good indeed. If there is no fiscal tax, the flight and
accomodation will only be around US100 (for south east asia region), which
is still affordable to most. That way several members will be able to attend
regional meetings.
So far, I am only aware of exemption for official diplomatic mission. In
fact, in 2003 I went to East Timor twice to work under GTZ (German's
technical assistance organization) and still I have to pay the fiscal for
each departure.
Therefore, if you do know of a way to get exemption, please do, it will be
greatly appreciated.

I will bet you that a way for ISOC Indonesia officers
not to have to pay the tax.
With your permission, I would like to pursue that for you.
