Dear Chapter Delegates:

Below is forwarded a message I just sent to the ISOC membership regarding
the ISOC ELECTIONS PROCESS - it is now underway and the Nominating Committee
is seeking nominations. Please be sure to read this over.

IN ADDITION, the IETF administrative restructuring process is moving
forward. A search is now underway for the person to take on the role of the
IETF Administrative Director's position. That announcement too is below.

Both announcements below have links to the application processes.

Thank you and best regards,

Subject: ISOC ELECTIONS OPEN and IETF ADMIN POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

Dear Internet Society Members:

The annual elections process for electing members to sit on the ISOC Board
of Trustees has now begun with the announcement by the Nominating Committee
that nominations are now open. You can view this important announcement at:
http://www.isoc.org/members/vote/2005election/

You can access the application form for submitting nominations (either for
yourself or for someone whom you feel would be a good candidate) at:
<https://www.isoc.org/isoc/general/trustees/bot-nom.php>
https://www.isoc.org/isoc/general/trustees/bot-nom.php. Or you can e-mail
nominations to: <mailto:nominations2005 at isoc.org> nominations2005 at isoc.org

These are important times in the evolution of the Internet. The Internet
Society will remain as strong as the members, chapters, staff and volunteers
who support it and this importantly includes the volunteers who serve as
Trustees. Please help spread the word that this process is now underway.

IN ADDITION, I want to bring an important career opportunity to the
attention of our members.

The community that makes up the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) has
as part of a long-term administrative restructuring, decided to create an
Administrative Support Activity, the Internet Administrative Support
Activity (IASA). The IASA will formally be structured as a function of the
Internet Society (ISOC). To run this activity, the IASA Transition Team is
now seeking a highly capable individual to serve as IETF Administrative
Director (IAD). The IAD will lead the work of supporting the organization
that defines and develops the future Internet and associated technologies.

A position description is on the ISOC website at:
http://www.isoc.org/isoc/general/career/.

You can apply at:
https://www.isoc.org/isoc/general/career/jobapplication.php or by sending
an email to <mailto:iad2005 at isoc.org> iad2005 at isoc.org.

Thank you and best regards,
