Dear Jacques,

I totally share your views. Being generous and concerned is one thing.
Providing efficient help is quite another thing.
When you have lost everything, the last thing you need is broadband
Internet.

So I urge ISOC members to continue to donate to charities, relief NGOs, UN
agencies, etc and leave it to their long experience to determine what is
the most efficient way to help the victims of the Tsunami.

I do not oppose the idea of having chapters projects which could contribute
to reconstruct the Internet infrastructure in these regions. But this is
certainly not a priority.

Best regards,

Patrick
