Dear Veni,
Thanks for your prompt response. One account at The Thai Red Cross Society
is:
Act Name: For Tsunami Victims
Act No. 745-1-03030-7
Bank. Kasikorn Bank PCL, Ratburana Branch
AWIFT Code: KASITHBK
Over 5 million US$ have been donated but a lot more are needed.
The equipment for a Tsunami warning system for Thailand will require about
30 million US$.
Unfortunately, no organization in Thailand has established a facility to
donate by credit card.
By the way, Assumption University has sent about 200 students, many of
them ISOC Thailand Chapter members to the airport to assist the tourists
who returned from the Southern sea in arranging for their hospitals (some
had preference for ISO-certified hospitals), personal identities (some lost
all the documents), contact with local friends, etc.
Best regards,
Srisakdi
