[chapter-delegates] ISOC Board of Trustees - NOMINATIONS PERIOD TO CLOSE MARCH 1ST

Dear Chapter Delegates:

 

This is an important reminder that the Nominations Period for elections of
ISOC Trustees in 2005 will close on March 1st. So there is only a week left
to submit nominees for this important position. The election date is June
1st and the new Trustees will be seated on August 6th.

 

There is one open Trustee seat for the ISOC Chapters. This nominations
process/deadline is quite important and I request your close consideration
of this and please pass word on to your members. ISOC has been, as I believe
you have seen, stepping up its activities in important areas of standards
support (including significant support throughout the IETF Administrative
Restructuring Process to date), education (Network Training, ccTLD
workshops, IDN and more) and, also importantly, policy - especially in the
WSIS/WGIG area where informed commentary and input is, and will continue to
be, so vital. This will be an extremely important year in ISOC's history and
the direction from the Board will be critical. We welcome self-nominations
and nominations of those you consider well suited to these important
endeavors.
