[Chapter-delegates] ISOC policy focus for 2006

I would add to the list...

It is time ISOC has a decent web presence.

-The web site is ok, except it takes 1/3 of my screen only (would be
nice to have it streched across the whole page)
-Like ICANNWiki.org, ISOC could contract Andreu Vea Boro to create a
who's who of the internet inside ISOC web realm. There would be the
following categories: People, Organisations, Chapters, Companies.
-Forums, there is the argument between mailing list and forum of
accessibility. However Forum usually allows a more constructive and
structured text, if moderated.
-Flags linked to the ISOC mission statement in the flag language and a
list of chapters in this language.
-The MMM should be saved and printed on the Web

Some techincal solutions for that, is to have a Content Management
System (CMS), which allows many people to participate (ISOC could give
editor rights to all the VP with a Webmaster supervising and ensuring
cohesion). Some CMS: MediaWiki (as in icannwiki.org), mambo.org,
xoops.org and my preferred tikiwiki.org. The advantage of the latest
would be to keep the ISOC web site apparance...

And as I don't like to suggest without proposing something real.. I'm
ready to design you a tikiwiki ISOC web site, as demo to see if you
would like it, but I need first to get an ok in principle from ISOC that
they would consider to implement such thing.

Well these are a couple of suggestion, which are linked to policy focus
of ISOC, which is to assert a better presence on the web.

Cheers
