Tks Tommi,
I agree with you regarding the regional balance on behalf of diversity.
Perhaps chapters should also think about set-up a list of priorities
and/or action plan for next two years, as there are a number of
activities that will capture the attention of the international
community during this period e.g. WSIS (Information society), Internet
Governance, domain name internationalization, ICANN, security, IPv6,
digital divide, capacity building, and so on.
Candidates should be comfortable with these prioritized areas of
interest
Regards / Rosa

Dear Rosa and all,
Thank you for all the good work you have done. Too bad your
inter-regional insight is leaving the BoT with you...
I for one will be disappointed but not surprised, if we end having yet
another European BoT-member in the coming election.
I have nothing against Europeans (being one myself), but IMO we need
people from the other regions too.
I submit that chapters should have six seats in the BoT, two selected
each year for a three year term. Furthermore, the two should be from
different regions. I believe this would bring regional balance and give
chapters (and through them, the individual members) more weight.
This is just a suggestion made by an individual global member, but I
would like to hear your reactions.
Best,
Tommi
