Actually, to differentiate between NRS & DNS notation, we used
to use uppercase letters for NRS, thus <a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="mailto:user@UK.AC.UCL.CS.NSS">user@UK.AC.UCL.CS.NSS</a> <---
as NRS was no DNS, thus the complete computer's name usually needed
to be provided.<br>
