What is most ludicrous here is the headline:<br>

The "bandwidth" of a wireless channel is a well defined physical
constant and cannot be "increased" by channel coding.<br>
(That we "re-defined", more precisely "ill-defined" this term in
the CS world is our fault and not the rest of the world's
problem.)<br>
</p>
<p>Another basic insight in wireless networks is, and it took me
some time to accept this myself, the fundamental most basic
general theorem on wireless networking: "You cannot make a silk
purse from a sows ear." And where ever it seems we made such a
silk purse, we should carefully check where we got the hidden
Lota Bowl or where we pulled our own leg ;-)<br>
