Our main concern or criticism is essentially that an organization could be doing important professional work yet receive a lower rating due to a small volunteer team, succession issues, or a lack of time to demonstrate impact.
As ISOC Slovenia, we could, for instance, call for:
- clear criteria, weightings, and forms of evidence tailored to the organization's size and local context;
- a distinction between developmental assessment and the mandatory requirements for maintaining status and funding;
- recognition of existing evidence—such as professional positions, publications, institutional responses, and project reports—without duplication;
- feasible term limits and exceptions regarding residency (to the proposed rule requiring officers and board members to reside in their chapter's country), accompanied by a sufficiently long transition period;
- an overview of how comments were addressed, clearly indicating what was accepted, rejected, or modified."
