The Internet Society wants to make sure that history isn't lost.</p><p class="gmail-font-claude-response-body gmail-break-words gmail-whitespace-normal" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">Under the guidance of the ChAC Steering Committee and ISOC/ISOC Foundation Staff, the Mexico and New York Chapters are launching the Proof of Concept (PoC) for the<span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong>Chapter Content Archive Project (CCAP)</strong><span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span>— an initiative to preserve the Internet's history by collecting and safeguarding the documents, photos, audio, and video produced by ISOC chapters around the world.</p><p class="gmail-font-claude-response-body gmail-break-words gmail-whitespace-normal" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)">We're looking for<span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong>ten chapters</strong><span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span>to help pilot this project:</p><ul class="gmail-[li_&]:mb-0 gmail-[li_&]:mt-1 gmail-[li_&]:gap-1 gmail-[&:not(:last-child)_ul]:pb-1 gmail-[&:not(:last-child)_ol]:pb-1 gmail-list-disc gmail-flex gmail-flex-col gmail-gap-1 gmail-pl-8 gmail-mb-3" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><li class="gmail-font-claude-response-body gmail-whitespace-normal gmail-break-words gmail-pl-2"><strong>5 chapters</strong><span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span>for the<span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong>Archival track</strong></li><li class="gmail-font-claude-response-body gmail-whitespace-normal gmail-break-words gmail-pl-2"><strong>5 chapters</strong><span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span>for the<span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong>Audio & Video (AV) track</strong></li></ul><p class="gmail-font-claude-response-body gmail-break-words gmail-whitespace-normal" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><strong>Archival Track</strong><br>Participating chapters will contribute copies of historical documents and photos, preserved according to digital library standards. This involves roughly<span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong>4 hours total</strong>: attending online meetings, receiving training on cataloguing and uploading materials to the CCAP Archive, and providing feedback at the end of the pilot.</p><p class="gmail-font-claude-response-body gmail-break-words gmail-whitespace-normal" style="color:rgb(0,0,0)"><strong>AV Track</strong><br>Participating chapters will dedicate<span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span><strong>5–8 hours</strong><span class="gmail-Apple-converted-space"> </span>to producing, streaming, and archiving audio/video content related to the Internet — training sessions, meetings, conferences, and more.
