<div dir="ltr"><div> Hi Charles and All</div><div><br></div><div>I reread the recent post by Charles to encourage us to leverage the generosity of the founders of ISOC and the Father of the Internet. My critical feedback is the generic nature of the request. Since this is aimed for the ISOC delegates across our chapter membership it fails to individualize a specific ASK. It's normal for a successful fundraising campaign to narrowcast a campaign bs broadcast with giving a choice of where their donation is directed. It leaves the reader with a yes or no choice. this isn't good. It should be all yes with particular or specific targeted fundraising </div><div>endeavors. I think of the specifics from the ISOC 2030 Action plan and the specific deliverables as a guidepost. Secondly, a range of donations could from $25 to $200 also should be deployed. </div><div><br></div><div>I acknowledge that ISOC Fundraising has a tough road ahead given the economy and the history of ISOC membership are more receiver vs giver status in the donation stream. A couple of years ago upon the request by the former ISOC President I provided alot of positive suggestions including a proactive Planned Giving initiative </div><div><br></div><div>In closing, I will put my money where my mouth is and donate today $200 and I challenge the others on this list to do the same or an amount you can spare. It's easy to be critical or just ignore the request but we have a moral obligation.</div><div><br></div><div>Thanks </div><div>Glenn </div><div>ISOC Ontario </div><div><br></div><div>PS.
