ISOC UK
England Chapter Elections

Dear Chapter Delegates,

I am writing to inform you that the ISOC UK England Chapter will
soon commence proceedings to renew and fill positions within its
Leadership Team, in accordance with its Chapter
Bylaws.

As part of this process, the Chapter must establish an Elections
Committee to oversee the election proceedings. This Committee will
be tasked with obtaining candidate information, managing the
voting process, ensuring the integrity of the elections, and
verifying that the announced results accurately reflect the votes
cast.

We are seeking six volunteers to serve on the Elections
Committee: three individuals who are members of the UK Chapter and
three individuals who are members of other Internet Society
Chapters. The responsibilities of the Committee are minimal and
will primarily be carried out via email. These include reviewing
candidates for the ISOC UK England election slate to ensure
eligibility, and monitoring the fairness of the election process.
In addition to email discussions, members of the Committee will
participate in a private mailing list and are required to attend
one Zoom conference call within the next month, as well as one or
two additional Zoom calls should any candidate-related matters
require further deliberation.

Eligibility criteria for Chapter representatives on the Elections
Committee include a minimum of two years of membership in the
Chapter. Members who intend to stand as candidates in the upcoming
election are not eligible to serve on the Committee.

While voting will be conducted anonymously using a secure voting
tool, Committee members may, under specific circumstances, view
the actual votes of Chapter members (e.g., in the event of an
inquiry). By volunteering, members of the Committee must agree to
maintain strict confidentiality regarding voter decisions and the
details of any candidate applications for the election.

If you are interested in volunteering for the Elections
Committee, kindly email us at contact@isoc-e.org. Should we
receive more than three applications for any category, we will
select volunteers at random using a free randomiser available at random.org.

We look forward to receiving your expressions of interest. Please
note that the deadline for applications is Wednesday, 16 April
2025, at 23:59 UTC.

Yours sincerely,
Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond
Chair, ISOC UK England Chapter
