Dear Colleagues,

Over the last quarter of 2024, we conducted a community listening exercise. We held six regional community calls and an in-person workshop, in Istanbul, Türkiye, to find out more about which Internet Society 2025-2030 programs interest you the most.

There were over 1,000 engagements, with an even spread of expressions of interest across our main priorities. This puts us in a very strong position to work together to accomplish the Internet Society’s
2030 strategy. This is what you’re interested in:
Get Involved

The Internet Society team is currently working on their 2025 community engagement plans and we will be reaching out to those who provided their contact details over the next few months with concrete opportunities for us to work together.

Collaboration and Support

We also asked you how you would like to collaborate with the Internet Society and how Internet Society staff could better support you in your work. This is a key part of our Community and Partner Mobilization Program.

We received feedback around the following topics:

• Thinking global, acting local

• Communication (consistency, transparency, use of local languages)

• Chapter management resources and support

• Sharing and showcasing of chapter work

• Chapter collaboration

• Chapter health (activity, governance, inclusivity, etc.)

• Next generation activities (youth)

Next Steps

We would like to thank everyone who took the time to provide input and feedback. We are continuously working on improving how we can best work together as a global community.

The feedback we received will be discussed with the Chapters Advisory Council (ChAC) and we will work with those of you interested in identifying ways in which we can move forward together. Please reach out to me at <saegesser@isoc.org>
if you’re interested in being part of this work on one or several of the topics above over the next few months.

Best,

Christine
