<div class="">Last week’s meeting that you are referring to was set up as a working session for special interest group and standing group (SIG/SG) leaders to take stock of the current SIG/SG specific processes, explore what works well and brainstorm on additional
 process improvements going forward. We started the call with a round of introductions that included very short updates from each of the SIGs/SGs represented on the call. </div>

<div class="">Our current SIG and SG leaders are on this mailing list and we very much encourage them to share their achievements and upcoming plans here with all the chapter leaders. One of the practical and strategic things that became obvious on the call
 is the importance of creating stronger connections between our SIGs/SGs and the chapter community.</div>

<div class="">SIG/SG leaders and members can be brought into chapter activities and events when subject matter expertise and thought leadership on a given topic is needed - they are our community experts on many topics. Some of the global concepts, guidance
 and training developed by the SIGs/SGs can translate into local implementations via the chapters. </div>
