In September, we'll share a draft policy framework on Internet intermediary protections and responsibilities for your feedback as part of the Internet Society’s Policy Development Process (<a href="https://www.internetsociety.org/about-internet-society/policy-development-process/" id="OWA86c82d5f-5f96-2acb-4103-a24fc5017d3b" class="x_OWAAutoLink" data-auth="NotApplicable" data-attrib-id="link-1ea9c05c-8dec-40e3-970c-d877b4ec3e2b">PDP)</a>.
 This draft paper is an output of our 2024 action plan project, focusing on <a href="https://www.internetsociety.org/action-plan/guiding-constructive-internet-policy/" id="OWA7bd40220-c28b-5363-ddfe-0110e6e5d3cc" class="x_OWAAutoLink" data-auth="NotApplicable" data-attrib-id="link-1ea95803-9aeb-48d0-b515-52c96266cb05">
Guiding Constructive Internet Policy</a>. We aim to explore policy principles and gather insights on intermediary protections or liability from different countries and regions.</div>

The goal of the policy framework is to emphasize the importance of understanding Internet intermediary functions to develop policies that keep the Internet open, secure, and trustworthy. This is in response to increasing moves to limit or condition intermediary
 liability protections, which could negatively affect the Internet ecosystem.</div>
