<p class="yiv2054206748MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;">Yesterday, Ted Hardie sent a message to the ISOC community announcing that the Internet Society Board of Trustees has selected me to become CEO of the Internet Society and Internet
 Society Foundation effective 1 September 2024.</span></p> 
<p class="yiv2054206748MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;">I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to be the Internet Society’s next CEO. This is an exciting time for the Internet Society, and I am honored to continue
 our organization’s critical mission. </span></p> 
<p class="yiv2054206748MsoNormal"><span style="font-size:12.0pt;">It is my strong belief that the Internet Society’s strength lies within our global community.  This includes chapters, organization members, individual members, the IETF, partners,
 staff, and Internet leaders across the globe who are building and defending the Internet.  Our success comes when this global community comes together</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;color:#212121;background:white;"> with a strong
 and effective voice for an open, globally connected, secure, and trustworthy Internet.</span><span style="font-size:12.0pt;"></span></p>
