<div dir="ltr">Dear all, <div><br></div><div>This discussion is healthy and beneficial to the organization. The management and the board need to hear, acknowledge, respect and respond to voices from the community with humility. The strong reaction in support of Joly also is a strong justification for his continued loyalty, service and dedication to ISOC. While I echo what my fellow trustees Luis and Caleb have said about the roles of the trustees in relation to the management and its work and decisions, what has been expressed so far in this thread, I personally believe, should warrant ISOC management and board to revisit such decisions over staffing and cost-saving for the current case and any future situations. We must do better. The Internet is for everyone, and ISOC is for everyone too, and that, I believe, must begin from listening. Your views expressed will not be in vain, because they have enabled and empowered us to make corrections where they need to be made. </div><div><br></div><div>Thank you, </div><div>Charles Mok</div><div>Trustee, ISOC and fellow volunteer</div><div><br></div><div><br></div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Mar 12, 2024 at 7:33 AM Joel Okomoli via Chapter-delegates <<a href="mailto:chapter-delegates@elists.isoc.org" target="_blank">chapter-delegates@elists.isoc.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div dir="ltr">Hi Olivier, <div><br></div><div>+1, Data does not lie! <br></div><div><br></div><div>The Internet started as a loss making entity, if the founders had this profit mindset the world would still be in stone age. </div><div><br></div><div>And why is our Father Vint Cerf offering to pay for this service on behalf of the community? Your guess is as good as mine. </div><div><br></div><div>@Caleb Ogundele Trustee thanks for your reply, it was not literal though. Respond to the other issues. <br></div><div><br></div><div>Regards, </div><div><br></div><div>Joel </div></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Tue, Mar 12, 2024 at 5:24 PM Olivier MJ Crépin-Leblond via Chapter-delegates <<a href="mailto:chapter-delegates@elists.isoc.org" target="_blank">chapter-delegates@elists.isoc.org</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><u></u>

The evaluation was on the basis of the consumption of the

As you know, impact on Social Media is about subscribers. It is not
about individual videos. The number of people that get notified of
activities on a channel is directly linked to the number of
followers/subscribers it has. That's what makes influencers
    "important".<br>
