<p class="MsoNormal">This is a great statement and thank you to the Swiss chapter’s work advocating for encryption in Europe. And it is also great to see the Dutch chapter jumping in as well!<o:p></o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><o:p> </o:p></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">The leaked documents from the EU do seem to indicate a concerning shift in the European Commission’s policy towards encryption. As the Swiss Chapter points out in their statement, there is no way to make a door to let the good guys in while
also keeping the bad guys out. Any encryption backdoor is an intentional security vulnerability.
