Working with the leadership of the U.S. Internet Governance Forum, I helped develop and execute its social media strategy for the national 2015 meeting by analyzing social media trends, identifying key actors and hashtags, sharing relevant content, and creating new content for targeted audiences resulting in a successful strongly attended conference with significant follower and interaction growth. Working with the Good Judgement Project and TechCast Global, I conducted rigorous open source research to forecast social, political and technological trends. My accurate insights led to continued participation in both groups along with invited blogs. As a columnist and OpEd writer for InsideSources, I have written cogent essays on pressing technological and political issues which have been picked up in wider syndication. Quantitatively, I conducted statistical analysis of a large data set to a research client measuring global Internet readiness. This analysis revealed unseen relationships within the data set resulting in a significant revision of the final research before its publication and a strengthening of its findings. As a contributor to the hi:project, I have identified new start-up funding sources through online research and brought a global user perspective to discussions of UX, influencing project messaging.</p><dl style="margin:5px 0px 0px 10px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-size:12px;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:14px;clear:both;overflow:hidden"><dt style="margin:10px 0px;padding:0px 6px 0px 0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-size:13px;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit;float:none;clear:left"><span style="padding:0px;border-width:4px 0px 4px 4px;border-style:dashed dashed dashed solid;border-color:transparent transparent transparent rgb(83,83,83);font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:middle;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit;min-height:0px;width:0px;display:inline-block;zoom:1;white-space:nowrap;overflow:hidden">(Open)</span>1 project</dt></dl></div></div><div style="font-family:Arial,sans-serif;font-style:inherit;font-variant:inherit;font-weight:inherit;color:rgb(51,51,51);font-size:13px;line-height:17px;margin:0px 0px 30px;padding:0px;border:0px;vertical-align:baseline;font-stretch:inherit;text-align:start;background-color:transparent"><div style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit"><h5 style="padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:normal;font-style:inherit;font-size:14px;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:16px;color:rgb(67,70,73);float:right;width:100px;text-align:center"><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/1860?trk=prof-exp-company-name" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;text-decoration:none;color:rgb(67,70,73);font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit" target="_blank"><img alt="" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:none;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit"></a></h5><h4 style="margin:0px 0px 4px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-size:16px;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:middle;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:18px;color:rgb(0,0,0);display:inline;zoom:1"><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/title/internet-governance-forum-secretariat-best-practices-consultant?trk=mprofile_title" title="Learn more about this title" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;text-decoration:none;color:rgb(0,0,0);font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit" target="_blank">Internet Governance Forum Secretariat Best Practices Consultant</a></h4><h5 style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:normal;font-style:inherit;font-size:14px;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:16px;color:rgb(67,70,73)"><span style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit"><span style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit"><a href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/1860?trk=prof-exp-company-name" dir="auto" style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;text-decoration:none;color:rgb(67,70,73);font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit" target="_blank">United Nations</a></span></span></h5><span style="margin:3px 0px 0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;display:block;color:rgb(102,105,106)">July 2014 – October 2014 (4 months)<span style="margin:0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit">Greater Chicago Area</span></span><p dir="ltr" style="margin:10px 0px 0px;padding:0px;border:0px;font-weight:inherit;font-style:inherit;font-family:inherit;vertical-align:baseline;font-variant:inherit;font-stretch:inherit;line-height:inherit">As a consultant to the Best Practice Fora of the Internet Governance Forum Secretariat operating under the auspices of the United Nations, I managed and coordinated global communications and research in the areas of multistakeholder mechanisms, online child protection, and facilitating the local content creation.
