In the election rules is not mentioned any minimal vote quorum. As such, with already 1 vote one can be elected … So we should first work out appropriate ruling in nomination and election procedures and integrate such requirements. <div><span style="font-family: Geneva; font-size: 12px; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2;"><br></span></div><div><span style="font-family: Geneva; font-size: 12px; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; widows: 2;">Rudi Vansnick</span><div apple-content-edited="true"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; font-family: 'Andale Mono'; border-spacing: 0px;"><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-variant: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; "><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-variant: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; "><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-variant: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; "><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><span class="Apple-style-span" style="border-collapse: separate; color: rgb(0, 0, 0); font-variant: normal; letter-spacing: normal; line-height: normal; orphans: 2; text-align: -webkit-auto; text-indent: 0px; text-transform: none; white-space: normal; widows: 2; word-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-horizontal-spacing: 0px; -webkit-border-vertical-spacing: 0px; -webkit-text-decorations-in-effect: none; -webkit-text-size-adjust: auto; -webkit-text-stroke-width: 0px; font-size: 12px; "><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Geneva">President - CEO<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre; "> </span> Tel +32/(0)9/329.39.16<br><a href="mailto:rudi.vansnick@isoc.be">rudi.vansnick@isoc.be</a><span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre; "> </span> Mobile +32/(0)475/28.16.32<br>Dendermondesteenweg 143<span class="Apple-tab-span" style="white-space: pre; "> </span> B-9070 Destelbergen<br></font></div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Geneva"><br></font></div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Geneva"><br></font></div><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><font class="Apple-style-span" face="Geneva"><br></font></div></span></div></span></div></span></div></span></span></div><div><div>Op 24-apr.-2014, om 17:31 heeft Vint Cerf <<a href="mailto:vint@google.com">vint@google.com</a>> het volgende geschreven:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><blockquote type="cite"><div dir="ltr">Abstention is a valid choice and there should be no prejudicial character to that. I hope you didn't interpret my email asking Chapters to vote as interfering with the election. My thinking is that it's important for as many chapters as possible to vote in the Board election. Personally, I find it troubling that only half of the chapters (and similar turnout for org members) choose to vote. Hopefully, the turnout will be higher this year.<br>
