Nominations were called for in October 2013, and went on till Dec
2013. I believe the nominations committee also solicited potential
candidates.
Thereafter, they selected *three* candidates for the *two*
chapters trustee vacancies (out of whatever number of
nominations). There is also a petitions process, but no additional
candidates emerged from the petitions. So now we have a vote for 2
positions out of three nominees.

This is a valid point. Currently ISoc provides USD 2000
per chapter for chapter activities. What are the issues you have
in accessing these funds? Also, is this amount sufficient for
your activities? If not, what formula should be used to

work for more funding, as well as reduction of administrative
I also believe that ISoc should support chapters in raising
funds from local sources. Having more of your own money will
also strengthen chapters' voices within ISoc, and strenthening
chapter fund-raising is one of my main planks.
