He has been a leader in promoting a more-inclusive Information Society and improving interoperability and quality in networks through standards for more than 25 years. Reilly retired in April 2011 as Senior Director, Strategic Technology Policy at Cisco Systems where he was the principal representative to the International Telecommunications Union and many other UN activities on policy matters. In this capacity, he served on numerous US delegations. Since retiring, in addition to the Public Interest Registry Board, Reilly has been active serving as a Board or Advisory Council member for several not-for-profit organizations in the areas of scientific research and education.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'> <o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal style='mso-margin-top-alt:auto;mso-margin-bottom-alt:auto'>A new Board member, Hartmut Glaser is the Executive Secretary of the Brazilian Internet Steering Committee/CGI.br in Brazil, the entity responsible for all activities of the Brazilian Internet community. These include the registration of Brazil's country code top-level domain, the assignment of IP addresses in Brazil, the coordination of the Brazilian National Computer Emergency Response Team, the handling of computer security incident reports, the production of indicators and statistics on the availability and use of the Internet in Brazil, and many other Internet-related activities.
