<div>Dear all,</div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>Thank you for your participation in last Friday's Webinar on the Future of the IGF. The recording of the session is now available here: <a href="http://www.internetsociety.org/igf">http://www.internetsociety.org/igf</a> </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>We enjoyed the fruitful dialogue and would welcome further comments on ISOC's submission to the IGF 2014 Consultation: <a href="http://www.internetsociety.org/isoc-submission-igf-2014request-public-input">http://www.internetsociety.org/isoc-submission-igf-2014request-public-input</a> </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>
<div>The core of the proposal is to enable the 2014 IGF event to produce policy outcome documents open for voluntary adoption. In order to get there, it is suggested to seek inspiration from the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) in terms of producing outcome
documents based on voluntary adoption and starting substantive inter-sessional work. The proposal also suggests reviving Best Practice Forums and introducing Bird of a Feather-type sessions. </div>
<div><br>
</div>
<div>We invite all our Members to continue sharing their insights and suggestions on this list as we prepare for this week's IGF Open Consultations and MAG meetings (19-20 Feb. Geneva: <a href="http://www.intgovforum.org">http://www.intgovforum.org</a>/).</div>
</div>
<div><br>

<div>Thank you and best regards,</div>

<font>2013 was a pivotal year for the Internet. The revelations around digital surveillance have raised questions around crucial issues such as individual rights, privacy and the role of governments. This increasingly complex scenario is creating important
challenges, as well as new opportunities for the open, multistakeholder model of Internet governance.<br>
<br>
This year promises to be even more important. To share insights and discuss preparations for the 2014 Internet Governance Forum (2-5 Sept., Istanbul, Turkey;
<a href="http://www.intgovforum.org">http://www.intgovforum.org</a>/ ), we would like to invite you to join an ISOC Webinar
<b><u>on 14 Feb., at 13:30 UTC</u></b>.</font> The intent is to start preparing for the meeting, in light of the broader Internet governance landscape. </div>
