<div dir="ltr"><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr"><br><div>Another top quality discussion from ISOC-DC and crisp webcast from ISOC's North America Bureau! Internet Governance is a tricky topic to comprehend - there are many aspects, not to mention myriads of acronyms. Those who take the time to view this through (120 mins) should gain a much improved degree of clarity on the ins and outs. Ambassador Verveer forcefully makes the point that, for individual Governments to achieve integrity in Internet policies, they need to improve their own inter-agency understandings in this regard,</div>

The international landscape calls for a more compelling narrative for internet governance than the US–centric one inherited from the ‘90s. Will it be possible to accommodate non-western state’s (this is much more than China and Russia) desire for a larger role for governments without throwing the multi-stakeholder model and (more importantly) human rights overboard? A distinguished panel pondered this question and more. The event was webcast live by the Internet Society's North America Bureau.</p>
