Hi Konstantin,<div><br></div><div>This is a welcome development. I think many on the old PubPol list were shocked when it was summarily shut down as "mission accomplished" when the report was released, especially giving that "Evolving" in the title. The attempted transfer to linked in was a non-starter. I instituted the x-pubpol stopgap list at ISOC-NY but I, and Internet NZ, have been the only consistent posters.</div>
<div><br></div><div>A good thing about the old PubPol was that it was broad tent. I hope the membership list has been stored, so that they may all be re-invited. I also trust that the Advisory Council will get a similar invite.</div>
<div><br></div><div>We've also have not heard a lot more about the ISOC-FI proposal for a policy observatorium, but something of this nature could work well as a compliment. Sally Wentworth has been using Scoop-It for this function on the ITU WG, simple but could possibly be improved on.</div>

This paper drew from the considerable expertise, experience and discussions within a pilot Internet Society group that was launched to investigate and examine emerging policy responses around the world. Please let us take this opportunity to again formally express our thanks to those volunteers for their strong commitment to the project, the many insightful observations and ideas they brought to the discussion, and their ongoing support of the Internet Society's mission.</span></div>
<div><br></div><div>Given the ever-changing environment of copyright regimes around the world, recent international initiatives and the various (legal, social and economic) challenges they pose, the Internet Society's Public Policy team considers it would be useful and timely to develop an update to this report. The Internet Society, with its diverse and multicultural membership, is in a unique position to produce an up-to-date comprehensive account of copyright policy across the world. To this end, we would like to invite all interested parties to participate in the discussions.</div>
