<div>I've taken part of the latest two Campus Party events in Mexico City and am aware of the ones in Ecuador and Brazil through contact with Paco Ragageles, who spearheads the organization. Their effect on young people is invaluable, and they provide a great
opportunity for networking and for the presentation of ideas. The events are a bit raucuous at times but even that is part of its assets. </div>

<div>That doesn't mean that ISOC just give in to Campus Party - there is plenty to manage in that relationship. I am glad that you and Hans-Peter Dittler are on top of it. The precedents that you create will sure be useful to all. Glad to be of assistance if
possible - my relationship with Paco is good.</div>

<div>Also it would be good if we can assess the experience to date together with other chapters that have been involved, esp. Brazil, Ecuador, and some of the ones in Spain.</div>

If the relationship is forged to be so strong, then it would indeed be worthwhile for Chapters to organize participation of Chapter Leaders as also encourage / offer funding / incentives to a few students to participate. global group wants to partner with ISOC and in particular ISOC Chapters in order to be involved in the key issues affecting the Internet. We are reviewing a Statement of Shared Principles document which we intend to sign in the near future and will encourage
Campuseros to join the Internet Society and to join a local chapter. <u></u><u></u></p>

<p class="MsoNormal">Finally, this year's main Campus Party will be held in Berlin, August 21 - 26 and Campus Party has invited every ISOC Chapter to come and participate. One of our ISOC Chapter leaders and a former Campusero himself, Hans Peter Dittler will
be speaking at one of the sessions and other ISOC participants will be joining discussion panels. We hope that all of you can take advantage of this incredible congregation of young technology explorers, their enthusiasm and their desire to make a progressive
difference in society. Campus Party leaders have told us they want to encourage all the Campuseros to join ISOC chapters where they can. What a great infusion of new blood this could be for all of us. Please, if you can, join The Internet Society Staff
