 you may be aware, the Council of Europe is preparing a Declaration of 
Principles and a Recommendation to Member States. Both drafts are 
available at the conference website under the Call for Comments section:

 drafts have been prepared by a multistakeholder expert group, chaired 
by Wolfgang Kleinwächter. They will be discussed during a conference in Strasbourg on "<b><span style="FONT-WEIGHT: bold">Internet Freedom - From Principles to Global Treaty Law?</span></b>",
 on 18 and 19 April. The documents should then be finalized after the 
April meeting, taking into account the comments received as well as the 
discussion at the April meeting.</span></font></p>

 Internet Society has been invited to speak at the conference 
mentioned above. Additionally, ahead of the conference, we plan on sending in
comments on the draft Council of Europe Declaration of Principles and 
the draft Recommendation. </span></font></p>
