Hi Jon:<div><br></div><div>A very good speech and Intent to initiate and one of the most clear todate on the aspects of openness of the Internet. Can we debate our three points you have mentioned with some more comments.</div>
<div><br></div><div>+ The principles of openness and transparency ought to drive Internet-related policies.</div><div>+ Care needs to be taken in translating these principles into regulation and law around the world</div>
<div>+ Open multistakeholder processes are vital to the development of the Internet and policies related to it<br><div><br></div><div>Some Questions:</div><div><div>1) How should we view the regulatory agencies which are blocking various content inside the Country?</div>
<div>2) Skype , VOIP , Various Youtube content blocked by the Regulatory authorities?</div><div>3) How do we neutralize the ISP's which find many bandwidth intensive applications throttling their bandwidth pipes?</div>
<div>4) Some comments & views on advancing on all such issues via the OPENNESS policy as its one or the other thing being blocked in turn?</div><div>5) What should be a local stance on the subject?</div><div><br></div>

In his speech, he strongly affirmed that the principles of openness and transparency are critical to ensuring the Internet's continued growth around the world, which the Internet Society and its members have long worked to promote. We have promoted these principles not for their own sake, but because we see them as central to sustaining the Internet as a platform for innovation, collaboration, and economic development.<br>
<br>Chairman Genachowski's statement has already generated media interest and discussion among various stakeholders in the Internet community. We expect it may raise additional interest and are working to use this event as an opportunity to further promote these important principles.<br>
<br>The challenge now for the FCC, as is true for policy makers in other countries, is translating these principles into effective laws and regulations. We believe that the process for doing so ought to employ the multistakeholder model, and that Internet Society Members and Chapters can be an important part of this.<br>
<br>For these reasons, we will be following up in further detail with our Members and Chapters soon. However, since the event might generate immediate media interest and Members around the world may receive request for comment, I wanted to immediately share what we believe are the key points of this announcement as they relate to the Internet Society community:<br>
