Sudan ISOC "SIS" would like to share the bellow news "text can be
edited, as am writing the text on Airport :-) on a rush .<br>

After many moths of preparations Sudan Internet Society "Sudan ISOC
Chapter" has published the first issue of it's "ICT" newspaper on
Monday 22th October 2007 , ICT is the first Sudanese Free Weekly
newspaper focusing on Information and Communications Technologies
issues , "ICT" main objective is to creating awareness among the
ordinary Sudanese citizens towards the importance of ICT in the
soci-economic development, ICT is distrubited free of cost to the
readers .<br>

ICT is targeting a mass audience, 30,000 copies has been printed of the
first issue and was well received by the ordinary readers. ICT is a
result of multi-stake holders approach which involves Sudan Internet
Society and 2 telecoms providers provided support that secured
financial support for ICT first issues beside Al Ahdath newspaper "
Leading Sudanese Newspaper" which provide support of printing and
journalism experience . On the long term ICT is planned to be
sustainable from the income of advertisements from the telecom
operators, internet service providers and other related ICT companies.<br>

A web site has been created for ICT newspaper "<a class="moz-txt-link-abbreviated" href="http://www.ict.sd">www.ict.sd</a>" and an
electronic version of the newspaper is published every week, the web
site contain interactive tools like pools and forums . ICT is managed
by a group of interested Sudan Internet Society members whom are
volunteers but supported by 2 journalist from AL Ahdath newspaper .<br>
