We are now ready for the next phase of the project which is to give

chapters access to the new ISOC Membership System.<br><br>
We now need all the Chapter Administrators to setup their Chapter<br>
profile. A Chapter Administrator is a new administrative role<br>
responsible for maintaining the Chapter's profile (Chapter name,
Chapter<br>
contact, Officers, Voting Delegates, etc.).<br><br>
The setup process and details are described below. You may find
it<br>
convenient to print this message so you can have a copy with you
while<br>
you complete the process.<br><br>

1. Timeline<br>

We would like all Chapters to be setup by JULY 15. If you feel you
need<br>
more time please contact me as soon as possible.<br><br>
NOTE WELL: Only Chapters that complete the setup process will
be<br>
available for signup by ISOC members. You must complete and
maintain<br>
your Chapter profile in order to be an active Chapter in the
system.<br><br>

2. Setup Process (For Chapter Administrators Only)<br>

As you review your Chapter setup you will note that Nelson Sanchez
has<br>
been listed as the Alternate Chapter Administrator for each of your<br>
Chapters. Please do not remove him until your chapter
administrator<br>
confirms that your chapter setup is complete. Nelson needs this
access<br>
in order to help you with your setup and to check the configuration
of<br>
your Chapter after you are done. As long as there are no issues
Nelson<br>
will confirm back to you that everything is ok and then you can
replace<br>
him with an alternate administrator for your chapter.<br><br>
Please proceed as follows:<br><br>
- Try the system as described below and make changes accordingly.<br>
- Send any questions to <sanchez@isoc.org>.<br>
- Check your Chapter setup and make any changes.<br>
- Inform Nelson Sanchez <sanchez@isoc.org> when you are done.<br>
- Nelson Sanchez will review your Chapter setup and give ok back to
you.<br>
- Upon receipt of the ok you may substitute another Alternate
Chapter<br>
Administrator for Nelson Sanchez.<br><br>

3. Membership Signup Pages (For Chapter Administrators and Members)<br>

First thing to do here is to use the following link to request your<br>

You MUST use the same email address that you used when you signed up

populate the "chapter delegates" and the "isoc members
announce" mailing<br>

The system will reset your password and send you an email containing<br>
your login and password.<br><br>
IMPORTANT - When requesting a password reminder, if the system finds
two<br>
or more members using the same email address, the system will inform
you<br>
that the user does not exist and no password will be sent to the
email<br>
requesting the password. In this case the member has to send an
email<br>
to <membership@isoc.org> to request assistance.<br><br>

4. Checkout Process (Available to all Members)<br>

The "Checkout" process is a mechanism similar to that of the
"shopping<br>
cart" concept. In our case you will be paying for your
membership dues<br>
or making donations. The "Checkout" process uses credit
cards as the<br>
payment method (Visa, MasterCard, American Express).<br><br>
You may choose to complete the checkout process or cancel any<br>
transactions that may be pending or not completed (e.g. membership<br>
payments, donations).<br><br>
*** IMPORTANT - If you complete the Checkout process your credit
card<br>
WILL be charged if there are non-zero amounts.<br><br>

5. Chapter Administrator Pages (For Chapter Administrators Only)<br>

currently subscribed to the chapter delegates list is the same email<br>
address you are using for your ISOC membership. Going forward

note that the email addresses used to populate the chapter delegates<br>
list will be taken from the ISOC membership email addresses.<br><br>

You must web-enable at least 1 membership level. The level

Things you need to know about Chapter Administrator pages:<br><br>
- A Chapter Administrator and a backup Alternate Chapter
Administrator<br>
must be defined.<br><br>
- The Chapter Administrator Login and Password is the same as your
ISOC<br>
member Login and Password.<br><br>
- The Chapter Administrator function is a new administrative role<br>
required to maintain the chapter information.<br><br>
- The Chapter Administrator has been defaulted to the Chapter
President<br>
in most cases.<br><br>
- The Alternate Chapter Administrator role has been TEMPORARILY setup
as<br>
Nelson Sanchez. This is so that Nelson can help you and
review any<br>
work done in the setup. After your setup is complete and
confirmed by<br>
Nelson you may change it. Typically, the Alternate
Chapter<br>
Administrator would be defaulted to the Vice President or
second<br>
leader of the chapter.<br><br>
- The Chapter Administrator roles may be delegated to ANYONE in your<br>
Chapter. What is important is that the individuals assigned
to these<br>
roles are responsible for maintaining accurate information
regarding<br>
the chapter and for approving and canceling Chapter
members.<br><br>
- The email addresses for the Chapter Administrator, Chapter
Officers,<br>
and Chapter Voting delegates will all be used to populate the
chapter<br>
delegates list.<br><br>
- The currency for the Chapter billing parameters is in US$
only.<br><br>

7. Updating Chapter Delegates mailing list<br>

At the end of this process, the chapter delegates mailing list will

re-populated with the email addresses from the ISOC Membership

for those individuals setup by the chapter administrator as being<br>
officers/administrators/voting delegates.<br><br>
